Windward Artists Guild held a workshop October 19 with Carl Jennings Professor of Art atWindward Artists Guild held a workshop October 19 with Carl Jennings Professor of Art at Kapiolani Community College. The topic was Nature and the Natural World. Participants were encouraged to develop awareness and sensitivity to nature. They were paint in a way that reveals the feelings of the object or place in a creative way instead of copying literally.

WAG 59th Annual Show on Display

The 59th Annual WAG Member Show is on display at Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden Gallery in Kaneohe until October 30. Thank you to everyone who came to the reception and for those who purchased artwork especially! The exhibit is very good and several art pieces found their new homes during the reception. Congratulations to all the artists and to everyone who will be taking home beautiful new original art! Come see the show between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm daily. The gardens are free to the public and boast some of the most beautiful views outside the gallery as well. It's a great idea to see the show, and then enjoy a picnic lunch or a stroll to the lake. Below are a few of the walls you will see at the show, but not all of them - enjoy the preview!
