Mini Miniatures Show: Call for Entry

We have a great opportunity to be part of an in-person show and pop-up sale this December. The Arts at Marks Garage is trying something new to showcase Hawaii arts and artists in an innovative format for the holidays. For each of the first three weeks of December, a different group will sponsor an exhibit of miniatures and WAG has the first week (Dec. 2-8) for our “Mini Miniatures Show,” featuring 2D work up to 80 sq. in. and 3D work up to 10 in. on the longest dimension. The great news is that there is no entry fee for all current paid members, and you are welcome to join us for just this show (http://windwardartistsguild.org/joinrenew/). Deadline is November 17. You can show up to 3 pieces and replace any that are sold. There will be a Pop-Up sale on Saturday and Sunday where you can offer prints, small originals, arts & crafts, etc. in addition to the show art. Aloha WAG members! We are still facing shortages of display space on Oahu including our traditional venue of Ho'omaluhia, which is not open, so we are going online at least once more with a show that will be much like our 2020 shows, and the date of posting will be November 5, thus the deadline to enter is October 25, 2021. The good news is that our past online shows were viewed by a lot of people, not just those on Oahu, and the resulting sales were equal to our best and exceeding many of our usual in-person shows. I have no hesitation in urging you to participate. Best of all, the show is free to members, and you are welcome to join just for this show. WAG membership is $30, but if you already paid your membership for 2021, there is no entry fee, just a commission of 15% for any sales made through the site. The cost of putting on a show like this is minimal. That means the majority of proceeds go to support educational projects such as our grants to teachers and the popular Adventist Health Castle virtual class series. You may display up to 4 pieces.
